Bristol has a rich history, dating back to Saxon times, when it was the main crossing point over the river Avon. It's features and sights range from maritime history to Georgian architecture. Present day Bristol is a thriving centre, and has a great deal to offer the visitor.
Britain's most famous Victorian engineer Isambard Kingdom Brunel's built many of his greatest works in Bristol, many can still be seen today.

Bath is the most complete and best preserved Georgian city in Britain. The spa was used by the Romans, and the remains of the Roman baths are still there to be seen today, beside the 18th century Pump Room
Bath has many attractions; a wide variety of interesting shops; spectacular architecture; good food and nightlife all to be found around this graceful city.

Severn Vale, Berkley Castle, Conderton Pottery, Tewkesbury Abbey and museum, Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust at Slimbridge.
The Cotswold Hills to the east have some of the prettiest villages in England, with a style of stone houses unique to this area. Well worth a drive through the villages or try some of these places, Westonbirt Arboretum 600 acres of landscaped trees and shrubs, Owlpen Manor, Arlinton Mill, Prinknash Abby, Wooton-under-Edge Heritage Centre.
Wells Britain's smallest city, a magnificent cathedral, Bishops Palace and the oldest cobbled street in England.
Cheddar, famous for its cheese (the most popular cheese in the world), cider (a drink made from apples), caves inhabited by stone age man and a deep gorge(valley).
Wales is only a few miles away to the west and can be accessed by any of the two Severn bridges or through the forest of Dean.
Forest of Dean, Dean forest railway, Hopewell Colliery, Lidney Park, Symounds Yat, Clearwell Caves and the National Birds of Prey Centre.
Gloucester, Cathedral, Docks, National Waterways museum, Prison museum, City and Art museum, Robinswood Hill country park.
